What are clinical trials?
Clinical trials are research studies to investigate how different drugs or therapies affect people with certain skin conditions. Clinical trials are heavily regulated to ensure that all patients involved are safe and do not experience undesirable effects.
Why should I participate?
Patients in clinical trials gain access to newly developed medical treatments for their specific condition before they are available to the public. Participants are under close supervision and receive expert care from our board certified dermatologist and our research team who assess, evaluate, and monitor a range of conditions and potential side effects.

These studies are offered at no cost to participants.
Participants may be compensated for their time and travel.
All visits are conducted by a board-certified dermatologist.
What We Do
Atopic Dermatitis
Eczema (atopic dermatitis) is a common, chronic skin condition associated with dry skin that begins with itching or irritation that is further aggravated by scratching followed by a red, flaky rash. Eczema commonly waxes and wanes in response to various environmental factors. Skin infections, excessive heat, winter (or cold, dry climates), fragrances, detergents / soaps, abrasive clothing (eg, scratchy wools), chemicals, smoke, and stress may trigger eczema to flare up or worsen. Scratching increases the chances of developing an infection because it increases breaks in the skin. While these environmental triggers may worsen eczema, they are not the cause of the skin condition.
Prurigo Nodularis
Prurigo nodularis is a condition of extremely itchy papules (small, solid bumps) or nodules (solid, raised bumps that are firm to the touch) on the skin that may have a scab from scratching or picking. The lesions range in size but are generally smaller than a thumbnail. They can enlarge slowly over time. In some cases, there may be no itching, but uncontrollable picking or rubbing is the cause.
It is sometimes associated with another chronic skin condition, such as generalized itching or atopic dermatitis (eczema). It can also occur in people will illnesses that involve severe itching.
Hives/Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria
Hives (urticaria), also known as welts, is a common skin condition with an itchy rash of pink or red bumps (papules) that appears and disappears anywhere on the body. In darker skin colors, the redness may be harder to see, but the swollen skin bumps can be felt by the touch. An individual hive typically lasts a few hours (up to 24 hours) before fading away, and new hives can appear as older areas disappear.
